The Christian Coalition, founded by Reverend Pat Robertson (1930-2023)in 1989, led the attacks on the arts and freedom of expression across America in the early 1990’s that was the heart of the Culture Wars. We (the arts and culture sectors) won the battle to save the National Endowment for the Arts but lost the war.
